One part of my identity that travels with me is my family. They have taught me to be respectful, work hard and appreciate where I come from.


My family’s values are an important part of who I am.


Even when I am somewhere new, I remember the lessons my family has taught me and try to carry those values with me.

 if someone tried to understand me using only my race, they would miss many of the parts of who i am, my interest,values, and the hobbies that help shape my identity and fail to see any of those experiences that influence the way i think and see the world. My cultural identity is made up of more than just my race, it has my family,traditions,values, and life experiences that all play a factor in who i am this helped me realize that a person cannot be fully understood by looking at only one part of their identity, everyone has different life experiences and personalities that make them unique
